ANUTTAMO DURAADHARSHAH KRITAJNAH KRITIR-AATMAVAAN
ANUTTAMAH: One who is incomparably Great in glory is Anuttamah. He is always more than what we have explained; what has been explained in scriptures. He is one, beyond whom there exists none who is greater than Him. In Narayana Upanishad Lord is extolled as “There is nothing above or below, equal to Him’. Vedanta says that ‘He is one without a second’.
DURAADHARSHAH: One who cannot be attacked, stormed successfully. The Lord is all powerful. In the Puranas we read that the Daityas and Asuras and others, mighty and powerful ones become themselves helpless victims of His power and come under His sway. We have a upanishadic story where the Lord of wind, fire, Indra failed to move a small bit of grass with their powers. To the one who has understood his true nature as Infinite Atman, the lower nature of the mind (Daityas) and the enchantments of senses (Raakshasaas), are all helpless to overpower such a great Jnani.
KRITAJNAH: He who knows all that is done by all. There is nothing that He is not aware. He is the one Knower who knows all that is going on in our body, mind and intellect. It is with His light we come to be aware of our thoughts and experiences. Hence the Lord is named as ‘Kritajnah’. Lord Vishnu knows clearly the exact depth of our sincerity, the true ardency of devtotion, the real amount of purity in the mind of us and accordingly brings joy to our hearts.
KRITIH: One who is the energy, the power behind all activities of the world. He is the inevitability behind the result of actions. He is the one who rewards all our actions. He blesses the good and punishes the evil.
AATMAVAAN: The Lord is the Self in all beings. In the Chandogya Upanishad when the disciple asks, “Where does the Lord, the Infinite, stand established?” The Guru answers, “In its own glory established ever in the Self”.
Hari Om Mahatmas! We will meet tomorrow.
